Data Deletion Request

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data from Pennedly at any time. This page explains how to submit a deletion request and what to expect.

How to request deletion

Email us: hi@pennedly.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".

Please include in your message:

The email address associated with your Pennedly account
Your Threads username (if connected)
Confirmation that you understand all data, including AI training history and generated content, will be permanently removed

What we delete

Your account profile and authentication credentials
Your encrypted OAuth tokens for any connected Threads accounts
Your post history, comments, and engagement metrics stored in our database
AI-generated drafts and approved content
Role-book (voice training data) derived from your posts
Any user-defined rules, topics, schedules, and settings
Audit logs and analytical aggregates specifically attributable to you

What we may retain (and why)

Payment records: as required by Polish tax law (typically 5 years from invoice date)
Anonymized aggregate analytics: where the data cannot be tied back to you personally (e.g., "5,000 posts were generated across all users in March 2026")
Logs required for security or legal compliance: retained as long as legally required, then deleted

Timeline

We confirm receipt of your request within 3 business days. Full deletion is completed within 30 days, in compliance with GDPR Article 17 ("right to erasure"). You will receive confirmation by email when the deletion is complete.

Revoking Threads access without account deletion

If you only want to disconnect your Threads account from Pennedly (but keep your Pennedly account), you can do that in two ways:

From Pennedly: Settings → Threads connection → Disconnect (this revokes our access token within 24 hours)
From Meta (Threads/Instagram): Settings → Apps and Websites → Active → find "Pennedly" → Remove

Either method severs Pennedly's API access. Your Pennedly account remains active; your historical data within Pennedly is unaffected.
